Schlosspark Freihof lies in the heart of Nussdorf, in the exclusive and very green 19th district of Vienna. Thanks to its prime location between the city center, vineyards, the Vienna Woods and the Danube, the former wine village is one of Vienna’s most sought-after residential addresses. Excellent schools, luxurious villas, numerous shops and outstanding restaurants provide for a premium living environment that leaves nothing to be desired.
The palace’s architecture dates back to the early 19th century, the era of neoclassical architecture in Vienna. The landmarked ensemble perfectly accentuates the existing small manor houses (“Stöckel”) and vaults in refurbished condominium apartments and townhouses. The unrivaled historical palace garden forms the green heart of the complex. The historical charm can be felt throughout the entire property, making these residences so unique.
Living without any compromise
The elegant period apartments in the historical palace are being elaborately refurbished and complemented by timeless town houses, lofts and modern apartments. Combining historical structures with the highest modern comfort, an exclusive residence is being created. The Apartments
The new buildings to be constructed represent a modern interpretation of classical architecture. The beautiful and elegant facades reject any short-lived contemporary tastes and their proven aesthetic will still be appreciated for decades to come. Whether two-story townhouses or charming apartments with an atrium – luxuriously and modernly designed, the apartments with a living space of 150 m² or more all have spacious terraces or balconies.
A prime location ever since
Schloss Freihof looks back on a rich history. It was first mentioned in a document as early as 1346. Originally named Altenburger Freihof, the manor was then part of Altenburg Abbey. Later, it changed hands several times.
Schloss Freihof was mostly owned by aristocrats and bourgeois families. Merchant Andreas Edler von Fellner and the noble family Bachofen von Echt had the most significant impact on the palace’s history. In later days a beer brewery was operated on the premises. With its extensive corridors, prominent staircases and numerous historical architectural details, it bears unmistakable witness to centuries of history.Location & History
Thanks to its prime location between the city center, vineyards, the Vienna Woods and the Danube, the former wine village is one of Vienna’s most sought-after residential addresses. In winding, narrow streets, old wine-grower’s houses, idyllic courtyard gardens and breathtakingly beautiful Heuriger wine taverns, the tradition of winemaking lives on in its most original form. Residing and living in Nussdorf: From here, it doesn’t take long to get to Kahlenberg, one of the city’s most popular destinations, the vineyards with Heuriger wine taverns and the cycle paths along the Danube.
